An update to the login system for accessing ESA's SWE Network products via the SWE Portal website and the API

We've introduced a new login system for both the website and the API access to the ESA SWE Portal products and data. This update is focused on improving security, consistency, and ease of use across all access points.

What has changed

  • As part of the 3.15 portal release on March 05:
    • A new sign-in system was implemented impacting the API access
  • From April 20:
    • User Account passwords will need to be reset.
    • Usernames have been replaced by emails.

Rollout

Following updates to our login system, existing portal users need to reset their password to continue using their ESA SWE Portal account. Furthermore, the username linked to your ESA SWE Portal account has been replaced with the email address linked to your account.

How to reset your password

  1. Click Reset password to go to our secure sign-in page.
  2. On the sign-in page, select 'Forgotten password?'.
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. Click 'Submit'
  5. We will then email you a link to create a new password.
  6. Follow the link to set and confirm.

Once completed, you can sign in and continue using the ESA SWE Portal as usual.
