Upcoming Release 3.15 on March 05: Planned update to the login system for accessing ESA's SWE Network products via the SWE Portal website and the API

We are preparing to introduce a new login system for both the website and the API access to the ESA SWE Portal products and data. This update is focused on improving security, consistency, and ease of use across all access points.

What’s Changing

• As part of the 3.15 portal release:
  • A new sign-in system will be implemented.
    This will only change the API access
• At the beginning of April, the following changes will take place:
  • User Account passwords will need to be reset.
  • Usernames will be replaced by emails.

Rollout
These changes will begin to be rolled out in March 2026. We will inform you of the specific timelines and any required steps as we get closer to its launch.

More Information
The login system for accessing ESA's SWE Network products via the SWE Portal website and the API (using HAPI) will change. For more information on how to already prepare for this change, visit: SSO and Machine-to-Machine Interfaces (M2M).
