Alpbach Summer School 2002

on Space Weather: Physics, Impacts and Predictions

Alpbach summer schools are held annually and provide in-depth teaching on aspects of space science and technology. Each year the school focusses on a particular subject and the 2002 event was related to space weather. It was the 26th of this long-running series.

The summer schools are organised by the Austrian Space Agency (ASA) together with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the national space authorities of its member states. The Summer School is supported by the International Association for the promotion of co-operation with scientists from the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union.

ESA's Space Weather Web Site is hosting the presentations given by the summer school lecturers. For more details on the Alpbach summer schools, refer to the ASA Alpbach web site.
