The ESA SSA Space Weather team is pleased to announce that SWE Portal
2.12.0 was released on the 28th May 2019. In this update the available
SWE services have been upgraded with a number of new and improved products.
In addition, pages describing the Solar Weather, Heliospheric Weather,
Space Radiation and Ionospheric Weather Expert Service Centres (ESCs)
have been redesigned to provide more information about the ESCs and the
teams participating.
The ESC pages now also include an area where users can access
demonstration products. Demonstration products are new products made
available for an initial testing period before being incorporated into
the SWE services. All users can register to access the demonstration
products, please check the miscellaneous area on the
registration/application preferences page for access. Feedback is welcome!
Find the detailed description of the service improvements including
those products added or updated as part of this release in our release

The call for nominations for the 2019 contest for the international
space weather and space climate medals is now open. The new medal
recipients will be announced in a medal ceremony at the European Space
Weather Week starting 18th November 2019.
All three prizes are prestigious recognitions of recipients' major
contributions in the field of space weather and space climate. Medal
recipients' work must have been documented in peer review journals or
book chapters, or must be a technological contribution that has led to a
fully implemented new space weather or space climate capability. Medal
recipients' work must be relevant to space weather or space climate. The
work must also be internationally recognised. The deadline for
nominations is 8th September 2019.
Nominations for the medals can be submitted following the guidelines on
